Unai Emery signs new contract for Aston Villa
Aston Villa’s manager, Unai Emery, has extended his contract until 2027, the club announced on Tuesday.
Since joining in November 2022, Emery has turned Villa from a team fighting relegation into a top-four contender in the Premier League.
Currently, they sit in fourth place, six points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham, who have two games in hand.
Additionally, Aston Villa has reached the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League, where they will face Olympiakos, aiming for their first European trophy since 1982.
Emery, whose previous clubs include Sevilla, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal, was recently rumored to be a candidate for the vacant Bayern Munich job.
