UCL: Man City Edges Closer to Elimination After PSG Defeat

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) staged a remarkable comeback to overturn a two-goal deficit and defeat Manchester City 4-2 in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) group-stage clash on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes.
City initially seized control of the game with goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland. Grealish broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, pouncing on the rebound from Bernardo Silva’s saved shot. Just three minutes later, Grealish provided the assist for Haaland, who doubled the lead with a clinical finish.
However, PSG launched a stunning revival. Ousmane Dembele, introduced at half-time, began the fightback in the 56th minute with a composed strike to cut the deficit. Seven minutes later, Bradley Barcola leveled the scores, reacting quickly to slot home a rebound.
The turning point came in the 79th minute when Joao Neves headed home a low cross at the far post to put PSG ahead for the first time in the game. Goncalo Ramos sealed the victory in added time with a sublime curling effort into the top corner, ensuring an unforgettable night for the French champions.
The defeat marked a historic collapse for Manchester City, who lost after leading by two or more goals for the first time in 115 matches under Pep Guardiola. With eight points from seven games, City now sits outside the playoff spots and must beat Club Brugge in their final group-stage match to stay in contention.
