Troost-Ekong to miss rest of season after AFCON Injury
Despite sitting out the final group game against Guinea-Bissau, the 30-year-old defender continued to play through the injury, including participating in the semi-final against South Africa.


Troost-Ekong, the captain of the Super Eagles, is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, as reported by Soccernet.
Despite sitting out the final group game against Guinea-Bissau, the 30-year-old defender continued to play through the injury, including participating in the semi-final against South Africa.
However, it has now been revealed that he will undergo surgery in Finland to address a ruptured biceps femoris in his right leg.
