Tribunal Orders Swift Release of Kogi Election Materials
11 off-cycle election within 48 hours. Additionally, the tribunal has mandated INEC to permit SDP’s forensic experts to scrutinize specific electoral materials, including the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System and result sheets for various Local Government Areas.


The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kogi has directed INEC to furnish the Social Democratic Party (SDP) with certified copies of electoral materials from the Nov.
11 off-cycle election within 48 hours. Additionally, the tribunal has mandated INEC to permit SDP’s forensic experts to scrutinize specific electoral materials, including the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System and result sheets for various Local Government Areas.
The order aims to facilitate the SDP’s case against the All Progressives Congress (APC) victory, as the tribunal strives to meet its time constraints in compliance with Nigeria’s constitution and the Electoral Act (2022).
The case is set to continue on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
