Tribunal Dismisses APC Candidate’s Petition, Upholds Fintiri’s Re-election as Adamawa Gov
In her plea to the court, Binani sought to invalidate Fintiri’s election, alleging that the election was tainted by purported incidents of vote buying, thuggery, and over-voting.

The tribunal overseeing the Adamawa governorship election has upheld Ahmadu Fintiri’s re-election as the Governor of the state, while dismissing the petition brought forth by Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru, who ran as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the March 18 election.
In her plea to the court, Binani sought to invalidate Fintiri’s election, alleging that the election was tainted by purported incidents of vote buying, thuggery, and over-voting.
However, the three-member panel presiding over the case on Saturday ruled against Binani’s claims, affirming Fintiri’s win and dismissing the petition, finding no substantial evidence to support the allegations made.
