Idris made this statement following a visit to the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) headquarters in Abuja.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration will prioritize positive relations with the media.
Idris made this statement following a visit to the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) headquarters in Abuja.
He emphasized the importance of media owners adhering to regulatory guidelines and expressed confidence in the freedom of the Nigerian press.
Idris stressed the need for a press-friendly government to build trust in its policies and programs.
He also highlighted the responsibility that comes with press freedom and mentioned President Tinubu’s advocacy for press freedom.
This statement follows the National Broadcasting Commission’s “final warning” to Arise Television for remarks made by guests regarding President Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University (CSU) on October 5 and 6.
