Tinubu’s ADC Becomes New Elemona of Ilemona

Lt. Col. Nurudeen Yusuf, President Bola Tinubu’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC), has been formally appointed as the new Elemona of Ilemona land in Kwara State’s Oyun local government area.

Following the passing of his father, the late Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, former Elemona, in May, Lt. Col. Yusuf was chosen by Ilemona’s kingmakers to assume the traditional leadership role.

In addition to being the rightful successor to the throne, Lt. Col. Yusuf is widely respected in Ilemona for his benevolent acts and humanitarian efforts within the community and its surroundings over recent years.

After obtaining necessary approval in accordance with Nigerian military protocols, Lt. Col. Yusuf accepted the community’s decision to become the incoming Elemona of Ilemona.

The appointment has received endorsement from the Kwara State governor and confirmation by the state’s traditional council of chiefs.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is scheduled to formally present Lt. Col. Yusuf with his staff of office on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Upon his installation, His Royal Highness, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf, Fiwadade Ilufemiloye Oyekanmi II, Elemona of Ilemona land, will appoint regents to administer the throne until his retirement from military service.
