Tinubu Vows to Eradicate Poverty, Terrorism During His Tenure

President Bola Tinubu has made a solemn commitment to address the pressing issues of poverty, criminality, and terrorism during his four-year term as he leads the nation.

He stressed that his administration is actively implementing programs and policies designed to empower the people of Nigeria in this endeavor.

This declaration was made in Kaduna on a Friday during the graduation ceremony of cadets from the 70 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).

President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, shared that the ongoing initiatives under his leadership are integral to a new national defense and security strategy.

He underlined that this strategy is grounded in unwavering determination to confront the significant security challenges facing both Nigeria and the West African sub-region.

With this in mind, he called upon all leaders of defense and security institutions in the country to collaborate in protecting the nation’s territorial integrity.

Additionally, President Tinubu disclosed that, within his leadership, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is diligently working to enhance conflict resolution efforts in the region, with the ultimate goal of restoring peace and stability in the sub-region.
