President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his dedication to improving Nigeria, praising his fellow countrymen as hardworking individuals and expressing his belief that the nation should not be in a state of poverty.
Tinubu made these remarks during a meeting with a substantial delegation of 62 members, representing leaders from both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.
“We are a diligent people, abundantly blessed. All we need is to support each other and be good neighbors. I won’t make excuses as a leader,” stated Tinubu, as reported by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
“I will tirelessly work towards prosperity for all Nigerians. There’s no justification for our poverty. We’re not looking back; we’re charging forward vigorously.”
“While it may seem like we’re facing challenges today, the currents will soon push us ahead. We will realize the aspirations of our ancestors. I’m inspired by the nation I now lead,” added the former governor of Lagos State.
Tinubu, Nigeria’s leader, expressed his commitment to steering the nation in the right direction and fulfilling the promises made by his government.
“As the Captain and Chief Salesman of the country, I am determined to change the course and achieve remarkable progress swiftly,” affirmed President Tinubu. “Our people have high hopes for us, and I pledge to work tirelessly, seeking guidance from God not to let down Nigerians.”
Tinubu also mentioned his government’s intention to focus on the Eleme Junction-Onne segment of the East-West Road, connecting to the Port Harcourt Refinery. He noted that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike would provide valuable advice and follow up on this matter for prompt action.
“In addition to his role as FCT Minister, Wike is also my trusted advisor and a supporter of mine,” he emphasized. “He has hit the ground running and deserves encouragement from the state.”
