Tinubu reduces entourage on foreign trips to 20 officials
This directive, applicable to various government offices, imposes limits on international travel companions, allowing 20 individuals for the President and five for the First Lady.

President Bola Tinubu has implemented significant cost-cutting measures, reducing official entourages on both local and international trips by 60%.
This directive, applicable to various government offices, imposes limits on international travel companions, allowing 20 individuals for the President and five for the First Lady.
Domestic trips are also affected, with restrictions of 25 staff for the President, 15 for the Vice President, and 10 for the First Lady.
The objective is to curtail excessive spending and align government prudence with citizen expectations.
This decision comes after public criticism of the administration’s participation in the COP28 summit in Dubai with a large delegation.
