Tinubu is not my President – Aisha Yesufu Says after Supreme Court judgement
Yesufu, a well-known human rights activist and co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, made this declaration on her X platform (formerly Twitter) in response to the Supreme Court’s decision led by Justice John Inyang Okoro.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s affirmation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election victory, Aisha Yesufu, a prominent supporter of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, emphasized that she does not consider President Bola Tinubu as her leader.
Yesufu, a well-known human rights activist and co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, made this declaration on her X platform (formerly Twitter) in response to the Supreme Court’s decision led by Justice John Inyang Okoro.
Justice Okoro, heading a seven-member panel, upheld Tinubu’s victory while stating that the petition of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar lacked validity.
In her response, Yesufu reiterated, “Let me be clear, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not my President.”
The activist has been a vocal critic of the ruling All Progressives Congress and has previously expressed strong disapproval of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, particularly concerning issues of security.
