Tinubu Has Not Increased Corps Members’ Allowance – NYSC
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has clarified that there has been no increase in corps members’ allowance by President Bola Tinubu.
The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, did not announce any increment during his visit to the Ogun State Orientation Camp in Sagamu.
Instead, he mentioned that corps members are expected to benefit from the minimum wage when it is approved.
This clarification was made in a statement by NYSC spokesman Eddy Megwa, who urged the press to report accurately on NYSC activities to avoid unnecessary apprehension among stakeholders.
