Tinubu Celebrates El-Rufai at 65
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on his 65th birthday, praising his intellect and contributions to democracy.
In a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described El-Rufai as a scholar, administrator, and politician, commending his role in the formation of the APC and its electoral successes in 2015, 2019, and 2023.
The President wished him good health and continued service to the nation.
El-Rufai, who previously served as FCT Minister and Kaduna State Governor, has recently become a vocal critic of Tinubu’s administration. He also remains in a political tussle with his successor, Uba Sani, and has warned that Tinubu risks losing northern support ahead of the 2027 elections.
