Tinubu asks s’court to dismiss Atiku’s appeal
Atiku and the PDP had filed a petition contesting the results of the February 25 presidential election, citing irregularities and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.

Bola Tinubu has requested the Supreme Court to reject Atiku Abubakar’s and the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) appeal.
Atiku and the PDP had filed a petition contesting the results of the February 25 presidential election, citing irregularities and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.
The presidential election petition tribunal had ruled against Atiku on September 6, and in response, he appealed to the Supreme Court on September 18.
Tinubu, in his response filed, argued that the appeal was “abusive” and stated that the appellants failed to prove their allegations. He urged the Supreme Court to affirm the lower court’s decision and dismiss the appeal.
