Tinubu Arrives Lagos ahead of Christmas, New Year Celebrations

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the president was warmly received at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, and other top government officials.

“President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays. He was received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, and members of the state executive council at the Presidential Wing of the airport,” the statement read.

Before departing for Lagos, President Tinubu presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill, amounting to N47.9 trillion, before a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja earlier in the day.

During the budget presentation, Tinubu emphasized that the proposed budget aligns with his administration’s vision of fostering peace, prosperity, and hope for a brighter future for Nigeria. He highlighted that the ongoing economic reforms under his leadership are beginning to show positive outcomes, with signs of recovery reflecting the resilience of the Nigerian economy and the impact of strategic policy decisions made since his assumption of office.
