Tinubu Appoints Senior Aide for Disability Affairs

Bola Tinubu, the President, has named Mohammed Isa as a Presidential aide in charge of Disability Affairs.

This decision, as communicated in a statement by Tinubu’s spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, is part of Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring inclusive representation in his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Mohammed Abba Isa, known for his extensive advocacy for individuals with disabilities both locally and internationally, has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters.

He holds a degree in Public Administration with honors from the University of Maiduguri and obtained a Masters in Public Administration from the same institution in 2017.

The President has tasked Isa with the responsibility of actively incorporating the needs and perspectives of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) into government policies and programs at all levels while collaborating with sub-national authorities to establish national consensus on PWD-friendly policies and environmental conditions in partnership with the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
