President Bola Tinubu, in the wake of his triumph at the Supreme Court, commended the unwavering professionalism displayed by the judiciary throughout the challenge to his election victory.

The challenge arose when Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) contested the outcome of the February 25 poll, seeking to overturn Tinubu’s affirmation as the winner by the petitions tribunal.

In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court dismissed the petitioners’ pleas, deeming them lacking in merit and frivolous.

Tinubu expressed his renewed faith in the Nigerian judiciary, stating that it had not wavered even in the face of pressure and attempts at intimidation by certain political figures. He emphasized that the court’s commitment to upholding the rule of law was unwavering.

The judgment, according to Tinubu, has solidified his determination to deliver good governance to the Nigerian people. He further stated his commitment to serving all Nigerians, irrespective of their political affiliations, ethnic backgrounds, or religious beliefs.
