Tinubu Accuses Atiku of Using Fake Certificates in Supreme Court Battle
According to documents filed on October 12, President Tinubu accuses Atiku of submitting fake credentials to Nigeria’s electoral commission, INEC.
Atiku Abubakar, a primary opponent of President Bola Tinubu, faces serious allegations of identity fraud and forgery, as claimed by President Tinubu in his efforts to challenge Atiku’s appeal to the Supreme Court.
According to documents filed on October 12, President Tinubu accuses Atiku of submitting fake credentials to Nigeria’s electoral commission, INEC.
This includes a primary school certificate with the name “Atiku Kojoli” and a 1965 West African School Certificate and General Certificate of Examination with the name “Siddiq Abubakar.”
President Tinubu argues that these inconsistencies in names raise doubts about Atiku’s true identity. Atiku, on the other hand, filed a motion to introduce fresh evidence suggesting that a certificate President Tinubu presented might be forged.
The final decision rests with the Supreme Court justices, who will determine the outcome of this legal battle.
