Supreme Court Reserves Verdict in Nasarawa Governorship dispute
Following final submissions from lawyers on Tuesday, the five-member apex court panel, led by Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, declared that judgment is reserved, and the parties will be notified of the fixed date.

The Supreme Court has deferred its decision on the appeal challenging Abdullahi Sule’s election as Nasarawa state governor.
Following final submissions from lawyers on Tuesday, the five-member apex court panel, led by Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, declared that judgment is reserved, and the parties will be notified of the fixed date.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Sule the winner with 347,209 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, David Ombugadu, contested the result, leading to a tribunal nullifying Sule’s victory.
The Court of Appeal later overturned the tribunal’s decision, citing legal discrepancies.
