No fewer than 1,000 students have received Notebooks, Dictionaries, Mathematical sets, and other eduactional items, at the closing ceremony of free summer lesson, organized by the PDP House of Representative candidate for Ilorin West/Asa federal constituents, Muhammed Ibrahim Ajia through his foundation, Mohammed Ajia Ibrahim (MAI) Foundation.
The event was held respectively at Alanamu in Ilorin West Local Government and Eiyenkorin Bala in Asa LGA of Kwara state.
Speaking with our correspondent shortly after the program, Muhammed Ibrahim Ajia who was Represented by MAI foundation director, Mohammed Toyin Lawal, said the gesture was meant to motivate students and get the prepared ahead their next classes.
He said, “After the end of session break, MAI foundation decided to organized lesson for pupils and students around Ilorin West and Asa constituency so that they would be engaged with academic studies and that would prevent them from roaming about the street.”
On whether the kind gesture is politically affiliated, He said, “MAI foundation has been there even before the chairman’s intention to contest in 2019, talkless of now and the foundation is involved in so many areas including, education, health, humanitarian and all sort of things that build up the capacity in human.”
He however advised the students to be good ambassador of their community, adding that they should continue to revise what they were taught in the lesson, noting that the knowledge gain from the summer lesson would be useful now and in the nearest future.
