Pep Guardiola who is the manager of Premier League side Manchester City has confirmed that star player David Silva will be leaving the Etihad stadium at the end of the season.
David Silva’s current contract at Manchester City will come to an end this summer and there have been serious speculation over his future at the club.
Fans of the club have been clamoring for Pep Guardiola to try his best and convince David Silva to sign a new deal so that he can stay at Manchester City.
And according to the latest report on UK Sun, Pep Guardiola has made it clear that David Silva has made up his mind and no one can convince him to stay this summer.
“He has decided to leave, he has said many times. I think he wants to finish after 10 seasons here,” Guardiola explained according to the report on UK Sun.
David Silva has been playing for Manchester City for the past 10 years after joining the Citizens from Spanish side Valencia and has won four Premier League titles.
The 34-year-old could make a return to the Spanish La Liga or switch to the MLS before he will retire from football.
Since losing the Premier League title to Liverpool this term, Manchester City can now plan to fight for the FA Cup and Champions League as farewell for David Silva.
The 34-year-old outgoing captain needed just six minutes to fire the hosts ahead with a superb freekick from about 20 yards out.
And six minutes later, the Citizens doubled their lead through a stunning goal from Gabriel Jesus with the assist coming from the Spaniard who grabbed the opener.
The Brazilian forward after connecting with Silva’s pass dribbled past two Cherries defenders before sending the ball to the far right corner of the post.
