Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has appointed Onyinye-Gandhi Chukwunyere, a lawyer, as his presidential campaign council spokesman.
In a statement on Wednesday, Mary Abosede Ojo, on behalf of the campaign council, said the appointment takes effect immediately.
Ojo said Chukwunyere, a policy analyst, hails from Ekwereazu in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of Imo state.
“Mr. Chukwunyere is a lawyer, policy analyst, public and international affairs commentator, and a social crusader,” she said.
“He is from Ekwereazu, in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state. The appointment is effective immediately.”
Sowore will compete with the likes of Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi, standard bearer of the Labour Party (LP), for the presidency.
The presidential election is scheduled for February 2023.
