Shagaya Organizes Capacity Building, Skill acquisition program for constituents 

The program which was organized in through Nigerian Press Council, in collaboration with Galimo Nigeria Limited was aimed at providing training and resources to help participants improve their livelihoods and build a better future for themselves and their families.

Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya, the member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency on Wednesday organized a capacity building and skills acquisition program for youth and women in his constituency. 

The program which was organized through Nigerian Press Council, in collaboration with Galimo Nigeria Limited was aimed at providing training and resources to help participants improve their livelihoods and build a better future for themselves and their families. 

The program was a resounding success, with 150 participants drawn across 29 wards taking part in workshops and seminars.

Sho Pen Online gathered that participants at the event includes; Artisans; Market women; community development associations; political groups and non-governmental organizations who were trained in areas such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital marketing, and leadership skills. 

They also had the opportunity to network with each other and learn from industry experts. 

Mr. Bayo Lawal from SMEDAN, Kwara State who was the guest speaker discussed the importance of skill acquisition, urged participants to never stop acquiring knowledge. 

In their separate remarks, participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge.

In attendance were: Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, APC Chairman Asa Local Government; Alhaji Muftau Akanbi Oke; Dr. Mrs Ikeyi, Director Nigerian Press Council; Honorable Kale Oloje; Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah; Alhaji Abdulraheem Eshe; Mr. Basheer Luqman, Spacial Assistant on Media and Publicity to Honourable Muktar Shagaya amongst others.
