Chairman Salman Shagaya Foundation (SSF) Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya on Saturday attended Ramadan lecture at Olofa’s Palace to the delight of the traditional council, community leaders, students, and indigenes of Offa LGA over the young philanthropist favourable interest in the advancement of the community.

Beneficiaries of Shagaya Foundation’s COVID-19 relief package during the lockdowns in Offa LGA, meanwhile, seized the opportunity to appreciate the chairman for not being blind to the travails of the indigent during the hard times.

“Shagaya has shown he is our friend in Offa with his continuous support to the development of the community. Sometimes last year, many homes benefitted from his solar intervention project. One of these is still in use in my Arabic school for studying. Thousands of our people were also given food items during lockdown to mitigate hunger occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. What he does for all, particularly the indigent across the state, is exceptional. As Allah said in His Holy book, his wealth shall never dry,” he added.

Residents, including youths and women, severally commended Shagaya Foundation for being consistent, responsive, and encompassing with their initiatives, which they say is outstanding.

Hajia Mulikat Abebi, one of the past beneficiaries of the Foundation’s gesture, reiterated that women and youths of Offa LGA are happy with the philanthropist for not sidelining them

“All that is being said here are not new to me. I am aware of how he footed the medical bills for someone I know with health challenges. Someone had also told me he paid school fees of indigenous students across secondary and tertiary schools in the country. It can only mean that Shagaya is a leader with love of the people at heart at all times and God will not forsake him too.”

At a later visit to Chief Imam Offa Sheikh Muhydeen’s Arabic school, Shagaya donated the sum of two million five hundred thousand (N2, 500, 000) in support of the construction of a community hospital designed to provide basic healthcare to students and residents in the community.
