There are just over two weeks to go until the summer transfer window closes as Manchester city signs in new left back.
Sergio Gomez is hoping to play for the “most exciting” team in Europe after moving from Anderlecht to Manchester City in a reported £11 million deal.
The left-back, 21, has signed a four-year contract with the Citizens, becoming the club’s fourth summer signing after Erling Haaland, Stefan Ortega Moreno, and Kalvin Phillips.
Gomez effectively replaces Oleksandr Zinchenko, who left for Arsenal last month, and he is provide cover for City’s only senior left-back, Joao Cancelo, who is right-footed.
The Spaniard admitted that playing under Pep Guardiola is a “dream” for any young player.
“I am extremely proud and happy to have joined Manchester City,” Gomez said.
