Sen Mustapha mourns death of man in Police Custody, commends IG’s assurance of thorough probe

Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Jimoh AbdulQadri, who passed away while in police custody.
In a statement issued by his media assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, the Senator, who described the death as a painful loss, extended his condolences to the Balogun Fulani, Alhaji Abubakar Sidiq Atiku Fulani, the bereaved family, and the entire Balogun Fulani community, praying that God grant them strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Senator Mustapha commended the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, for his visit to the family of the deceased, as well as his assurance of a thorough investigation into the incident.
The Senator also commended the residents of Kwara, especially the youth, for handling the situation with restraint despite the challenging circumstances.
He prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him a place in Aljanah Firdaus.
