Sen Mustapha Hosts U.S. Delegation, Advocates for Advanced Agricultural Collaboration
Senator Saliu Mustapha, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Production Services, and Rural Development, on Wednesday hosted a delegation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The delegation, led by Mr. Christopher Bielecki, Agricultural Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, included Carraway Cassandra, Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy Abuja, and Tolani Abegunde from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
During the meeting, Senator Mustapha was joined by fellow committee member, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The discussions focused on enhancing agricultural trade relations between Nigeria and the United States, with a focus on sustainability, food safety, market access, and trade facilitation.
Senator Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central in the National Assembly, highlighted the importance of fostering stronger agricultural ties between the two nations.
He reiterated his commitment to achieving mutually beneficial trade relations in the agricultural sector.
