The Supreme Court has upheld Uba Sani’s victory as the duly elected Governor of Kaduna, dismissing the appeal by the PDP’s Isah Ashiru.
The court affirmed the lower courts’ judgments, stating that the tribunal erred in relying on inadmissible evidence for supplementary polls.
The appellate court noted that the witness’s allegations lacked firsthand experience and considered them hearsay.
Additionally, it agreed with the tribunal’s dismissal of PDP and Ashiru’s petition due to procedural lapses.
Uba Sani, declared the winner by INEC, secured 730,002 votes, defeating Ashiru, who had 719,196 votes, with other candidates trailing behind.
