Saraki’s 61st Birthday : Kwara PDP Youth Revival Group gives scholarships to 500 students

On the occasion of the 61st birthday anniversary of Dr. Bukola Saraki, the 8th Senate President and former governor of Kwara State, the PDP Youth Revival Group has declared the provision of scholarship awards to 500 deserving indigent students in secondary schools across the state. 

Speaking at a one-day symposium organized to commemorate Saraki’s 61st birthday, Comr. Lawal Olalekan expressed that this gesture reflects their belief in the transformative power of education and their commitment to nurturing a generation that will shape the future of Kwara State.

Olalekan described Saraki as a visionary leader with unwavering dedication to the progress of Kwara and Nigeria. 

The PDP Youth Revival Group, originally established to offer emergency assistance to party members in times of need, has evolved into a symbol of hope and compassion.

Highlighting Saraki’s tenure as governor, Olalekan noted that he spearheaded transformative policies that left indelible marks on the state’s development, ranging from education and healthcare to infrastructure. 

“As Senate President, Saraki exhibited astute leadership, making significant contributions to national legislation and the overall advancement of the nation.” He said. 

In his remark, Dr. Bello Olamilekan Kabir emphasized that Saraki’s legacy in the history of Kwara and Nigeria is unparalleled, impacting every aspect, including education, health, infrastructure, and human capital development. 

Similarly, Dr. Abdullahi Alabi commended Saraki as a leader who acted in favor of his people, bringing about meaningful reforms that boosted social and developmental aspects of the state.

The event, held at Kwara NUJ hall, Ilorin, was attended by notable PDP figures, including Comr. AbdulRahman Kayode, Publicity Secretary Olushola Adewara, Hon. Otukoko Olayinka Ibrahim, and other party stalwarts and members.
