Saraki Warns Akpabio Against Politicizing Senate Investigation Call

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has criticized Senate President Godswill Akpabio for politicizing calls for a transparent investigation into sexual harassment allegations made against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Saraki, through his media aide Yusuph Olaniyonu, clarified that he never called for Akpabio’s resignation but urged him to ensure an impartial probe to protect the Senate’s integrity.
He condemned Akpabio’s claim that the investigation was an attempt to remove a Niger Delta leader, calling it a distraction from the real issue.
Saraki emphasized that handling such allegations with openness is crucial to maintaining public confidence in the Senate.
Meanwhile, the controversy, which began over seat arrangements, escalated, leading to Senator Natasha’s six-month suspension.
