Road Construction : Kwara Gov tells Contractors to Increase pace of work

The Kwara State Government has urged contractors to increase pace of work as massive road construction begins across the state.

This was contained in a statement Released by the ministry of Works and transport on Friday.

The State Government also implore the general public to be vigilant and drive with caution as road construction/rehabilitation activities intensify from next week.

“Safety equipment for day and night hours will be erected, the site will be cordoned out and speed limits will be put in place with personnel on ground to manage people as they move around the site.

Please do not attempt to outsmart the flaggers for your own safety. Kindly adhere strictly to the flaggers’ instructions to avoid any form of mishap.

Work continues on the Osi-Obbo Aiyegunle road, Ilesha Baruba Gwanara road, General Tunde Idiagbon Flyover and the Yebumot – Adeta Roundabout – Mount Carmel road” The Statement Reads in part.

However the road constructions that will be coming up next week include : Adeta Roundabout – Pakata Roundabout, Ilorin, Oja Roundabout – Pakata Roundabout, Ilorin, Oloje – Ita Aman Madi Road, Ilorin and Tanke Oke Odo Ring Road 1.8km Ilorin .

Others includes; Ballah Township Road (Rehabilitation of Eyenkorin to Ballah 6.2Km), Construction of General Hospital Road – Otte, Construction of Ora Township Road, Secretariat road to New Market Lafiagi Township, Lafiagi, Tsaragi Township Road Edu m, Iyana Shonga to Shonga Road, Shonga, Tsuba – central School, lade Patigi and many others.
