Rivers crisis: We’ll know who is in charge when time comes – Wike Boasts
Wike, the former Rivers State governor, expressed joy at repairing his friendship with Giadom, who previously served as Commissioner for Works under former Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, visited the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Victor Giadom, on Saturday, fueling speculation about a potential political realignment.
Wike, the former Rivers State governor, expressed joy at repairing his friendship with Giadom, who previously served as Commissioner for Works under former Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
In a video, Wike confidently hinted at an upcoming revelation regarding who holds political sway. The former governor had faced disagreements with the current state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, leading to an attempted impeachment.
However, with intervention from President Bola Tinubu, the impeachment notice was withdrawn by lawmakers who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC.
During his visit, Wike dismissed critics, emphasizing that true political influence doesn’t rely on social media noise but on connecting with the people.
Regarding his visit to Giadom, Wike asserted it was a private visit to his friend and should not be misconstrued.
Wike commended Giadom’s political relevance and stressed the importance of impacting people positively in politics.
He highlighted the enduring nature of friendships amidst political changes and expressed support for the presidency going to the South.
Wike pledged continued support for the Tinubu-led government, reflecting on his term as Rivers Governor and vowing to promote development.
Despite acknowledging the challenges in politics, he encouraged unity and support for leaders like Giadom who have the people’s welfare in mind.
