Members of The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zango ward, Ilorin East local government area of Kwara State has called on the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mall Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to retain the state ministerial Slot for Amb. Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki.
Hon. Muhammad Abdulrahman Aduagba, The Chairman of APC Zango ward made this call during a press conference held in ilorin on Tuesday.
Aduagba explained that Amb. AbdulFatahi Yahaya Seriki has laid a foundation for the progressiveness and growth of the incoming administration led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu through his unflinching support and the vital role played throughout the campaign period of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
He noted that His role of keeping unity and peace within the Kwara APC alone during and after the primary election was an act of divine statesmanship and selflessness that wouldn’t have been achieved without the natural loyalty and good willingness of Amb. AbdulFatahi Yahaya Seriki to continue being a man of the people, thus maintaining his integrity without dipping his hands into dirty political games because of his position.
“The entire Zango ward stands here today to appreciate His Excellency Mall. AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman and other party leaders for acknowledging the loyalty and commitment of Amb. AbdulFatahi Yahaya Seriki is thus worthy of this compensation.
Amb. AbdulFatahi Yahaya Seriki has emerged and excelled beyond all odds as a youth, which has thrown him in the forefront as the top nominee for Kwara State ministerial appointment list. Now we have concluded that the patient’s dog eats the fattest bone, truly.
It is on this note that we call on the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the executive Governor of Kwara State, all well-meaning Kwarans, party excos, and members to stand by and ensure the delivery of the mandate of Amb. AbdulFatahi Yahaya Seriki.” He concluded.
AMB. Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki is a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2019 gubernatorial election and is also a ranking chieftain of APC in Kwara state. He was the first candidate to step down to rally support for the current Governor Abdrahman Abdulrasaq.
He served as the Director General of the campaign that produced the current Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq. He is a prominent member of the ‘O To Ge’ Movement that unseats the politics of the former senate President of Nigeria Bukola Saraki in Kwara state.
In 2022, he contested to represent Kwara Central at the senate but lost to a former national chairmanship aspirant, Saliu Mustapha.
