Report officer Who Forcefully Collect Your Phone, Police FPRO tells Nigerians
Adejobi emphasized the impropriety and lack of professionalism in such actions.
The Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has urged Nigerians to report any instance where a police officer forcefully confiscates or conducts searches on their phones.
Adejobi emphasized the impropriety and lack of professionalism in such actions.
He highlighted that scrutiny of a phone is only permissible when it’s relevant to an investigation as an exhibit, and it should not occur on the roadside.
Any officer conducting phone searches on the road is considered deviant, contravening the Inspector-General of Police’s directive and violating their Standard Operating Procedure.
Adejobi suggested that such officers should face disciplinary action.
