Speaking at an inter-denominational church service on Nigeria’s Independence Day, she pointed out that her husband inherited these long-standing issues and is committed to addressing them rather than assigning blame to past administrations.

Remi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, emphasized that President Bola Tinubu should not be expected to perform miraculous solutions to the country’s challenges.
Speaking at an inter-denominational church service on Nigeria’s Independence Day, she pointed out that her husband inherited these long-standing issues and is committed to addressing them rather than assigning blame to past administrations.
She stated, “We’ve inherited challenges that have accumulated over many years. Our intention is not to lay blame on previous administrations but to repair the damage.”
Remi Tinubu stressed that her husband is not a magician but is dedicated to working for the betterment of the country.
She expressed optimism that Nigeria will experience peace and better days ahead.
During the event, George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), urged Nigerians to exercise patience, noting that resolving the nation’s complex problems will take time, but measures are already underway to find solutions.
