Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni will be absent from the Champions League final due to injury.

The French player sustained a stress fracture in his left foot during the semi-final victory over Bayern Munich on May 8.

Ancelotti expressed optimism about Tchouameni’s recovery for Euro 2024, scheduled to commence on June 14, stating that although he won’t be fit for the final, he anticipates him being ready for the European tournament.

Tchouameni is currently undergoing individual training sessions to facilitate his recovery. In his absence, fellow countryman Eduardo Camavinga is likely to assume a pivotal role in the midfield.

Real Madrid, aiming for their 15th Champions League title, will face Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on June 1. Prior to the final, they have one remaining league fixture against Real Betis on Saturday.
