Rafinha Joins Al Arabi Qatar from PSG

Brazillian central midfielder, Rafael Alcântara do Nascimento, popularly known as Rafinha, has joined Al Arabi after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.

The 29-years old joined the Qatar club on a free transfer, after a successful medical, as revealed by sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“Rafinha leaves Paris Saint-Germain and joins Al Arabi Qatar. Been told it’s a permanent move, joins on a free transfer from PSG — and signs for two years.

“The deal completed today, medical already done, Romano tweeted.

Raphina began his career in Barcelona, after graduating from their academy, and was later transferred on loan to fellow La Liga club, Celta Vigo for €7.50m on July 15, 2013.

After his one-year loan, he would continue for the Catalonians for four seasons before joining Seria A side, Inter Milan on a season loan.

The Brazillian would return to Celta Vigo in the 2019/20 season for another one-year loan, with the Spanish side paying a fee of €15.00m.

After returning to Barcelona, on October 5th, 2020, Paris Saint-Germain would sign the Midfielder for a reported fee of €9.50m.

He was loaned the following season to Real Sociedad for a fee of €12.00m, and would later return to the Ligue 1 giant to complete his contract.
