Proposed Diaspora Voting Bill Advances to Second Reading

The House of Representatives has advanced the Diaspora Voting Bill to its second reading.
Co-sponsored by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen and Sodeeq Abdullahi, the bill aims to amend the 2022 Electoral Act, enabling Nigerians abroad to vote.
Abdullahi highlighted the benefits, noting it would save expatriates the trouble of returning home for elections.
The bill passed unopposed and has been sent to the House Committee on Electoral Matters for further review.
