The Kwara State Government is urging the Kwara Artisan Congress (KWACO) to prioritize the compilation of a comprehensive member list to facilitate better decision-making.

During a meeting at the ministry’s conference room, the State Commissioner for Water Resources, Honourable Usman Yunusa Lade, emphasized the importance of having a list of members with their contact information for effective oversight of the association’s activities.

Hon. Lade acknowledged the challenges faced by these associations and expressed the ministry’s commitment to finding solutions, including collaborating with the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) to streamline payment processes and increase state revenue.

He also pledged to offer resources and professional advice to help KWACO reach its potential.

The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Omolola Christianah Asonibare, highlighted the meeting’s significance in creating a supportive environment for the association.

The Chairman of the Association of Table Producers, Alh. Ali Jiddal, expressed gratitude for the ministry’s assistance, while the General Secretary of the Kwara State Laundry and Dry Cleaner Association, Mr. Marindoti Abiodun, briefed the Commissioner on specific challenges that need addressing for the association’s progress.
