Prioritize Abuja Metroline Over Free Land – Tinubu tells Wike
Tinubu, addressing Wike as the “landlord of Abuja,” expressed his desire to see the completion of the Abuja metroline for the benefit of Nigerians.

President Bola Tinubu conveyed a message to Nyesom Wike, the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), during an event in Abuja.
Tinubu, addressing Wike as the “landlord of Abuja,” expressed his desire to see the completion of the Abuja metroline for the benefit of Nigerians.
He advised Wike not to grant him free land if he were to request it, but instead, focus on delivering the metroline to improve the lives of the people.
Wike, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and one of the ministers appointed by Tinubu, has plans to complete the Abuja rail mass transit (ARMT) project in eight months.
The project, initially commissioned in 2018, faced challenges due to vandalism shortly after its launch.
Wike emphasized the importance of addressing transportation challenges in the FCT and highlighted the potential of the completed train system in reducing traffic congestion within the city.
