The eagerly awaited decision of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPT) is scheduled to be announced on Wednesday, September 6th.
According to Umar Bangari, the Registrar of the Court of Appeal, interested television stations will have the opportunity to broadcast the proceedings live.
The Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), along with their respective presidential candidates, had filed petitions with the tribunal in an attempt to invalidate President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
Additionally, judgments for election-related cases are expected to be delivered in 25 states, encompassing governorship, National Assembly, and state assembly election disputes.
It’s worth noting that the election results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently under dispute in no fewer than 25 out of the 28 states where elections were conducted.”
