Pray for Nigeria’s economy, Emir of Ilorin tells Nigerians

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Rulers’ Council, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has encouraged Nigerians to continue praying for national peace and economic growth to foster harmony and prosperity among the population.
He made these remarks in a statement released by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on the occasion of his 84th birthday, celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2024, and shared with the press the following day.
Dr. Sulu-Gambari emphasized the importance of seeking divine guidance for national leaders and urged leaders to focus on the well-being of the people.
He also highlighted the need for loyalty to the nation from both leaders and citizens to maintain seamless unity.
The Emir used his birthday celebration as an opportunity to offer prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity for Nigeria and the world.
He stated that with continuous prayers and a collective focus on positive outcomes, Nigeria is poised for economic recovery, business growth, and human capital development.
He encouraged Nigerians to focus on unifying factors rather than divisive issues, noting that a nation cannot thrive amidst crises and social turmoil.
Dr. Sulu-Gambari urged Nigerians to view the country as an indivisible entity that must grow stronger for the collective benefit of all citizens.
He pointed out that Nigeria is a nation blessed with many resources and talents that span various fields.
The Emir also expressed gratitude to the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond for their support, highlighting Ilorin’s role in bridging the gap between northern and southern Nigeria.
He thanked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrahman for his continuous efforts in promoting peace, security, and the well-being of the state’s citizens.
Additionally, he extended his thanks to traditional chiefs, title holders, the Council of Ulama, clerics, various groups and associations, as well as the people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State, for their unwavering dedication to peace and unity in the state and the nation at large.
