Police rescue Seven Persons abducted by Gunmen in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has rescued seven abducted persons who fell victims to unknown gunmen during an attack on a sachet water factory in Sosoki Village, near Alapa, Asa local government area of Kwara State at the weekend.

Hadi Balogun, manager of the factory who reported the incident to the police had said, seven armed men speaking different Nigerian languages stormed Lafrcdeen Pure Water Factory in the village in the evening, kidnapped eight workers of the factory including the owner, one Fatima Nurudeen and disappeared into the bush.”

Sequel to the report, the Police said the Commissioner, Tuesday Assayomo dispatched a tactical team alongside local hunters and vigilantes to the area to rescue the victims and arrest the hoodlums.

“The efforts resulted in the rescue of seven out of the eight abducted workers,” the spokesman of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi confirmed in Ilorin, on Sunday
