The National Cybercrime Center of the Nigeria Police Force, acting upon a petition initiated by Hon. and Dr. Mrs. Seye Oladejo, has apprehended three individuals in connection with a case involving Conspiracy, Cyberstalking, and threats to life.

A statement from the police spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, identifies the suspects as Adebukola Kolapo, Nnedum Micheal Somtomchukwu, and Isaac Akpokighe, all males aged 27, 25, and 30, respectively.

They are alleged members of the Gistlover family syndicate, responsible for operating the Gistlover blog—a microblogging platform known for cyberstalking, incitement, blackmail, and other illicit activities that have spurred public outcry.

Upon their arrest, the suspects confessed to varying degrees of involvement in the conspiracy, aligning with existing substantial evidence. Adebukola Kolapo, aka Omo oba Gistlover, reportedly played a significant role, creating over 80 percent of the Gistlover pages and utilizing his digital footprint for criminal activities.

He was allegedly on the payroll of the platform, enjoying incentives like car gifts and money, with responsibilities including scouting, editing, and captioning content, particularly cyberstalking posts against the complainant, Hon. and Dr. Mrs. Oluseyi Oladejo. Adebukola is also accused of contributing to money laundering through various means.

Further investigations, including digital forensic analysis, led to the discovery of eight Gistlover pages created on the syndicate’s instructions by Adebukola, along with wallet addresses used in the illegal money laundering scheme.
