Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, asserted that Nigeria has fallen short in addressing the issues faced by the Niger Delta region, particularly the pervasive poverty.
He conveyed this message during the formal presentation of the Labour Party’s flag to their Bayelsa State governorship candidate, Udengs Eradiri, at a town hall gathering in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
At this event, Obi encouraged Bayelsa State residents to scrutinize the promises made by candidates from different political parties as they campaign for the governorship election scheduled for November 11.
He received a warm welcome from the attendees of the Labour Party’s town hall meeting in Yenagoa, where numerous Bayelsans gathered to hear about the party’s gubernatorial candidate Eradiri’s agenda.
The event’s highlight was the presentation of the Labour Party’s flag to Eradiri and the inauguration of the party’s campaign headquarters.
