PDP Sweeps All 14 Chairmanship Positions in Zamfara LG Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured a decisive victory in Zamfara State’s recently concluded local government elections, winning all 14 chairmanship positions and every available councillorship seat.

The Chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), Bala Aliyu, announced the results on Sunday morning.

In a statement to the press after the results were collated in Gusau, Aliyu confirmed that PDP candidates triumphed in all local government areas, including Gusau, Kaura-Namoda, Maru, Talata Mafara, and Anka.

He praised the elections as free, fair, and credible, crediting their success to the combined efforts of security personnel, election officials, and the voters.

Wadatau Madawaki, the PDP representative at the collation center, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, calling it a strong affirmation of the party’s leadership and its dedication to the progress of Zamfara State. He urged the newly elected chairmen to align with Governor Dauda Lawal’s Rescue Mission and work toward advancing the state.

Independent election observers reported a peaceful election day and commended the effective security measures that ensured the smooth conduct of the polls.
