PDP Govs Urge Security Agencies to take not of Wike’s threat
Governors under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have called on security agencies to take note of recent statements made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The governors expressed concern over Wike’s warning to “put fire” in the states of any governor who interferes in the affairs of the PDP in Rivers State.
In a statement issued by the Director General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Emmanuel Agbo, the governors described Wike’s comments as “irresponsible” and “unacceptable.” They urged the national security apparatus to be vigilant, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
The PDP Governors’ Forum reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and working with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to ensure unity and cooperation among its members.
The Forum also emphasized the importance of resolving internal conflicts through official party mechanisms, rather than allowing personal grievances to escalate into broader political crises.
