Osimhen speaks on injury suffered before South Africa Clash
Despite initially being sidelined in Abidjan due to the ailment, Osimhen was deemed fit just before the match and played a key role in Nigeria’s 4-2 penalty shootout victory over South Africa.
Victor Osimhen revealed his ordeal battling abdominal discomfort ahead of Nigeria’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final against South Africa.
Despite initially being sidelined in Abidjan due to the ailment, Osimhen was deemed fit just before the match and played a key role in Nigeria’s 4-2 penalty shootout victory over South Africa.
In an Instagram Live video after the match, Osimhen described waking up in excruciating pain, eventually receiving treatment from the medical team before joining his teammates in Buoke via bus.
Despite the challenges, Osimhen commended the team’s collective effort and sacrifices. Nigeria is set to face Ivory Coast in the final on Sunday.
