Only FG can prosecute me, Ganduje tells Kano govt

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress and former governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, cautioned Kano Governor Abba Yusuf to prioritize delivering good governance instead of engaging in baseless attempts to tarnish his reputation.
Ganduje responded to the Kano State Government’s decision to press criminal charges against him for alleged bribery.
Governor Yusuf accused Ganduje of misappropriating public funds and favoring his family members with land allocations upon assuming office in 2023.
Ganduje denounced the bribery allegations as an attempt to divert attention from the lack of tangible development in the state under Governor Yusuf’s administration.
He highlighted the ruling of the Federal High Court in Kano, stating that the alleged offense falls under federal jurisdiction and should be prosecuted by the Attorney General of the Federation and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Ganduje urged the Kano government to focus on improving the welfare of the people and consider adopting his development strategies for the benefit of the state.
