Crystal Palace handed Manchester United a crushing 4-0 defeat at Selhurst Park in their English Premier League match on Monday night, scoring twice in each half.

Michael Olise shined with two brilliant goals, while Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell also added to the tally.

Olise’s first goal came after he slipped past Eriksen and then broke through United’s defense to score with a low shot from 20 yards. Mateta doubled the lead before halftime by outmaneuvering Johnny Evans and driving the ball past Andre Onana at his near post. This was Mateta’s sixth consecutive home goal under manager Oliver Glasner.

In the second half, Crystal Palace extended their lead to 3-0 when Mitchell scored from close range after a loose ball fell to him in the box. Olise sealed the win with his second goal, an 18-yard strike that flew past Onana.

With this victory, Crystal Palace secured their fifth win in six matches. In contrast, Manchester United experienced their first loss in five games, marking only one win in their last six. The defeat dropped them to eighth place in the league standings due to an inferior goal difference, despite being level with Chelsea on 54 points.
